  • Discouragement must be faced and overcome.

  • Godly men should have a vision for their current circumstances and their futures, and that vision should include helping others.

Leaders Seminar Track

Marketing your Outpost through Social Media Facebook Page or Group,? Twitter, Snapchat, hashtag conversation, Pinterest? Should we have a website? Are you having trouble getting your message out? Do you have a great program and trained leaders, but numbers are dwindling? Confused by all the promotional options out there? This module takes a look at promoting your outpost through the internet. Together we will jump into the deep waters of understanding how social media works and how you can build your program through the use of Social Media. Laptop computer with Wi-Fi capabilities will enhance this module greatly.

Safety in the Classroom - Active Shooter Training The threat of an active shooter attack is rare but very real. Royal Rangers aims to be ready, Ready for anything, As much as we hate to think about it - in today's world, individuals must be trained in proactive active shooter response options, rather than a passive, mandated, one-size-fits-all response. Come to this module and learn the latest method to address this very real threat in our churches today. “In any moment of decision… the best thing you can do is the right thing, the next best thing is the wrong thing, and the worst thing you can do is nothing.” -Theodore Roosevelt

Recruiting and Keeping Men for your Outpost Every year the same scene plays out in Ranger Programs throughout the country. The Outpost Coordinator stands up in front of a congregation of 300 and says something like "We need a couple of guys to help out with Rangers this year." When the loss of the program is threatened, two or three men (who also are volunteering for three other positions in the church as well) step up. Overworked, they do not have time to come to training, they cannot commit to the following year, and they go through the motions each eventually burning out. This module will address how to mobilize a team of volunteers who are energetic and willing to take the time and make the commitment to make your outpost great.

Running an Outpost in a Financially Strapped Church This module will deal with being a self-funded organization. One of the top reasons Ranger Programs are dismantled or not chartered is for financial reasons. Learn how to be more financially responsible and use less of your churches resources to fund your program.

Working with Special Needs Children Having an issue keeping leaders or boys due to one or two difficult Rangers? This module will help us learn how to work with children who have disabilities. Focusing more on learning challenges, such as ADHD and Autism, we will also touch on making accommodations for children with physical challenges as well.

NRA Basic Rifle Shooting Course Students learn NRA’s rules for safe gun handling; rifle parts and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; range rules; shooting from the bench rest, prone, sitting, standing and kneeling positions; cleaning, and continued opportunities for skill development. Students will receive the Basics of Rifle Shooting handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, Winchester/NRA Marksmanship Qualification booklet, take a Basics of Rifle Shooting Student Examination, and receive a course completion certificate.
